How to convert product prices to another currency in a feed

A rule with Currency converter: take price, from EUR to USD, at the Lithuanian Bank or Stripe rate. Rates refresh themselves; you get a 2-decimal number.

Selling abroad from a store that exports one currency? Convert the prices in the feed for that market instead of keeping a second price list.

  1. Open the data source, go to Rules and create a new rule - for example “Price in USD”.
  2. Under then pick the field to write - price, or a new one such as price_usd (New Column) - and choose Currency converter.
  3. Set take to price, from EUR, to USD and the rate: Lithuanian Bank (daily official rates) or Stripe (live market rate). Check rate shows the rate the rule would use now.
  4. Check Changes preview, then Save Rule.

Example

  • price 68.30 EUR → price_usd 79.71 (at a rate of 1.1671)
The result is the amount only, without a currency code. Add the code in the export's Mapping (for example price_usd + USD), and keep each market in its own export - see Create a feed export.
