Check the status
In Data Sources the column Synced at shows the state of every data source:
- Green - updated.
- Grey - updated more than a day ago, or never (Not Synced).
- Orange - updated, but with rule errors.
- Red Failed with an age, for example “Failed 5mo” - how long the feed has been showing the old products.
When an import fails, the feed keeps the last good version of the products - it does not become empty.
Find out why
- Open the gear menu of the data source (Manage) and choose Sync history.
- Every run is listed with its time and result - the failed one tells you what went wrong.
If it does not work
- The feed URL changed or no longer works - open it in a browser; if it does not load there, ask whoever provides the file for the new address.
- The feed is protected and the username or password is wrong - correct them in the data source settings.
- The supplier's server is slow - the system retries several times, and a server that stays silent for 3 minutes is cut off.
- Too many rule errors - fix the rules that the status points to.
Paused By System
After three automatic imports in a row fail, the system switches the schedule of the data source off and marks it Paused By System. Fix the cause first, then switch the schedule back on in the Schedule tab of the data source.
Update it by hand
- Refresh now in the Data Sources list starts an update right away.
- Stop stops an update that is running.
- How often it updates by itself: Set the update schedule.
